Laura Spence
Birth Trauma Midwife and Sexual Health Midwife,
Bright Beginnings Childrens Centre, Guernsey
Laura Spence is a committed midwife and an influential advocate for individuals with ADHD, particularly women, having been diagnosed with the condition herself later in life. Presently, Laura splits her working week as the Birth Trauma Service Coordinator at a non-profit organisation and a sexual health clinic, demonstrating her passion for service beyond her primary area of expertise.
Laura is determined to expand her knowledge base and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Perinatal Mental Health from Sheffield Hallam University. Through this academic endeavour, she aims to deepen her understanding of the challenges faced by women dealing with perinatal mental health and birth trauma and to improve the quality of care offered to such women. Laura's dedication to the field of perinatal mental health is admirable, and her advocacy for individuals with ADHD is equally inspiring. She seeks to impact the lives of those she serves, positively.
