Helga Mangion

Helga, who is a practising pharmacist with over 20 years’ experience in the pharmacy profession, has a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Diploma in Community Clinical Pharmacy.
She currently leads on Policy at the National Pharmacy Association (NPA), representing the trade body on a number of pharmacy and non-pharmacy committees including but not limited to the DHSC Advisory Group on Women’s Health, Heads of Pharmacy Schools Council, and the Pharmaceutical Group European Union (PGEU).
Previously, as the Head of Professional Development she supported NPA members and non-members in their training and development needs.
Helga also has extensive experience in representing the pharmacy profession to the wider healthcare network and has been on the Public Health system group, the Clinical Executive Committee, where she helped to interpret policy from the Department of Health and Strategic Health Authority. She has had advisory roles where she has worked with GPs to improve the public health agenda and commissioning strategy in line with local population needs. This included leading the production and commissioning of the first ever Obesity service through GPs and Community Pharmacies.
