Aishnine Benjamin

Aishnine Benjamin is the Head of Equality Inclusion and Culture at the BMA. She is a diversity and inclusion professional with twenty years experience, with roles in the civil service, the NHS, and healthcare professional regulation before joining the BMA. Leading on projects across public sector organisations, creating EDI strategies, developing EIA frameworks, communication strategies and training programmes. Aishnine has an academic background in race theory, colonialism, gender equality and human rights. The BMA EIC team launched the Ending Sexism in Medicine Pledge in 2022 to provide momentum and focus to tackling endemic sexism in the medical profession.
