Optimising Nutrition to Support Menopausal Health and Wellbeing

27 Feb 2025
Menopause Theatre

Menopause is a natural transition that affects every woman differently, yet its far-reaching impact on health and wellbeing often presents unique challenges for patients and the professionals supporting them. Nutrition plays a key role in managing menopause symptoms and improving quality of life. Additionally, dietary strategies can be instrumental in reducing stress, a key factor that can exacerbate symptoms and impact overall health during menopause.

This session offers practical, evidence-based insights into how nutrition can support stress management and symptom relief. Join me to explore the connections between nutrition, stress, and menopausal health, including the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, and discover simple, actionable tools to enhance holistic care for your patients.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this session, participants will:
1.    Understand the connections between nutrition, stress, and the wide-ranging symptoms of menopause, and how dietary approaches can help support patient wellbeing holistically.
2.    Appreciate the value of practical, evidence-based strategies, such as the Mediterranean diet, in supporting menopausal women
3.    Gain confidence in discussing simple dietary adjustments and stress management techniques with patients, as part of a personalised care approach.
4.    Explore tools and resources such as a clinical checklist and complementary non-pharmacological interventions, to optimise care in time-pressured consultations.
5.    Be better equipped to guide patients towards reliable information and empower them to take an active role in their menopausal health.
